Here are some answers to questions that many people have already asked:
Is my donation Tax Deductible?
Yes. When you donate to the Hudson Family through Real Hope Community Church your gift is tax deductible and you will receive a yearly statement at the end of the year.
Could I hear more before committing to support financially or with prayer?
Absolutely! We want givers and partners to be completely on board with our vision and mission. If you would like to hear more about what we believe, what we are doing, or simply would just like to get to know us better please contact us and we will set up a phone, skype, or face to face meeting with you!
Why do you have to live on full support? Why can't either of you be bi-vocational?
We understand that this is an option many in the ministry make, just as Paul did in his "tent making" season, but we do not feel that this is a choice God is currently calling us to make. From personal experience, we have seen that having a full or part time job outside of ministry takes away from the focus and commitment we are able to make in ministering to others.
What if you don't raise enough money?
This is where faith comes in. We completely believe that God has called us to step out in faith and trust that he will provide in this season, and so far God has come through with provision for our every need, therefore we believe that God will meet every need we have when it comes to finances.
how long will you be living on full support?
the short answer is: we do not know. the complete answer: until God reveals to us that it is time for us to stop.
Do you still need financial support partners?
currently we are not fundraising for any additional monthly support, but one-time or irregular donations are always welcome as this helps in times when our commited donors may be unable to give for a time. but of course, if you feel as if god is calling you to give: don't let us stop you!
what scriptures are you leaning on in this season?
Hebrews 13:5
Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,“I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”
Matthew 9: 29
“Because of your faith, it will happen.”
Matthew 9:37-38
He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
1 John 2:6
Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.
Philippians 4:18-19
At the moment I have all I need—and more! I am generously supplied with the gifts you sent me with Epaphroditus. They are a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is acceptable and pleasing to God. And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6:25-31
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
